Who pays for what.

What an affiliate link is:a link to a product where, if you buy, the seller pays us a small share of the sale. Amazon's Associates programme is the usual one. The price you pay is the same either way, and nothing is added on top for using our link.

How we mark them: any affiliate link is labelled where it sits, in the paragraph or the block that holds it. You will not have to come to this page to find out that a link pays us. This page is the standing statement, not the disclosure itself.

What gets linked: a thing we bought, used, or tested ourselves, or one we would recommend with no commission attached. A commission never decides what appears here, and no post is written because a product pays well. Where something is worth having and pays us nothing, it gets linked anyway.

What we do not do: paid reviews, sponsored posts presented as our own opinion, and links dropped into writing that had nothing to do with the product. If a piece is ever paid for by someone else, it will say so at the top, before you read it.

Tracking: an affiliate link tells the seller which site sent you. It does not tell us who you are, and we get sales totals rather than names. What this site itself collects is on the privacy page.
